The Blessed Sacrament is exposed all night after the 5pm Saturday Mass and is reposed before the 7:30am Sunday Mass. Prayers are led in Spanish by the Nocturnal Adoration group, but everyone is welcome to join at any time throughout the night. Nocturnal adoration is a Catholic devotional practice where parishioners gather for prayer and worship before the Blessed Sacrament during nighttime hours. Learn more by clicking here.
We will have several priests visiting our parish to ensure everyone has the opportunity to receive God's mercy and forgiveness by participating in our Parish penance service on Tuesday, December 10 at 7pm. Childcare will be provided. Get Ready for a Fun Night! Mark your calendars for Friday, December 13 at 7pm at Gas South Arena. Prince of Peace and The Knights of Columbus invite you to the Atlanta Gladiators’ annual Teddy Bear Toss Game. Bring a teddy bear to throw onto the ice after the Glads score their first goal! A portion from every ticket sold along with 25% of the proceeds from Chuck-A-Puck will go back to the Parish to support the "Send-a-Kid-to-Camp" scholarship! Teddy bears collected will be donated to children in need by the Knights through their participating charities.
Join the Columbiettes Advent by Candlelight Charity Fundraiser for women on Saturday, December 14, starting at 5:30pm. This event will be conducted in English only. Guest speaker, Jennifer Thomas, will address the strength of Mary, the mother of our Lord, and her saying yes. “Embracing Your Fiat!” will focus on Mary’s response of “Let it be done” when asked by the angel Gabriel to become the mother of Jesus and how we too can embrace our own Fiat. The evening includes a dinner buffet catered by Little Vinny’s. Charity fundraising activities will include a 50/50 raffle and a gift basket auction. Admission tickets are $25 each and will be on sale through December 4, 2024. Proceeds from the Ladies’ Advent by Candlelight will support the Columbiettes Charity Fund, benefiting Prince of Peace ministries and our community. Questions? At each Alpha session, you will share a meal, watch an episode on a different question of faith - and then have a chance to share your thoughts and hear what others think. The Alpha Online English Program is a non-denominational presentation of the Christian faith where guests explore the meaning of life in the comfort of their home in an Online presentation. Participants learn about the teachings of Jesus in an atmosphere where no questions about life or God are seen as too simple or inappropriate. All discussions are confidential. Participants can feel comfortable to ask any question. Alpha is for everyone regardless of where you are in your life’s journey. Come explore the meaning of life in an Alpha Online English Course. Each gathering consists of a great presentation and an opportunity to ask any questions. There is no cost to participate in this program.
