You may know St. Vincent de Paul (SVDP) as our on-campus food pantry, but our ministry extends far beyond that. We invite you to Learn About The Society of St. Vincent de Paul on Tuesday, January 27, at 10:00 a.m. in the Adult Ed Room. Come discover the rich history of this 200-year-old ministry and learn how SVDP–Prince of Peace serves our local community. You’ll hear how we not only address food insecurity through our food pantry, but also help prevent home evictions, keep neighbor’s utilities from being shut off, and more. Whether you’re curious about our ministry, discerning a call to serve, or simply want to learn how our parish walks with those in need, we would love for you to join us. As our patron saint, St. Vincent de Paul, reminds us: “Go to the poor; you will find God.” For more information, please email stvdp@popfb.org.

Candle Mass Join us on Monday, February 2, as we celebrate the Candle Mass in honor of the Feast of the Presentation of the Lord. Mass will be celebrated at 9am. During Mass, candles will be blessed as a sign of Christ, the Light of the World, who guides us in faith and hope. This beautiful tradition invites us to reflect on Simeon’s proclamation and renew our call to carry Christ’s light into our daily lives. All are welcome to attend and participate.
All are invited to the traditional Blessing of Throats on Tuesday, February 3, at the 9am or 7pm Mass, in honor of St. Blaise, a 4th-century bishop and martyr known for his miraculous healing of a boy who was choking on a fishbone. This special blessing is a centuries-old Catholic tradition, asking for health and protection from illnesses of the throat and body throughout the year. All are welcome to participate.
