Through the Desert, God Leads us to Freedom (ES)

Presented by Ana Correa in Spanish Friday, February 28 | 7pm - 8:30pm The people of Israel have been freed from slavery to Pharaoh, but they carry slavery in their hearts. They are free on the outside and slaves on the inside. Are we still under Pharaoh’s rule? Are we focused on reaching the Promised Land? Let us welcome Lent as the important time in which his Word addresses us once again: “I am the Lord, your God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the place of slavery” (Ex 20:2). It is time to act, and in Lent, to act also means to pause. I invite you to pause in prayer, to leave behind the idols that weigh us down, the attachments that imprison us. Slow down, then, and pause! This is God’s dream, the promised land to which we journey once we have left our slavery behind. Nursery available if requested through registration. For questions, contact Carmela Trevino at carmela@popfb.org.
