Why serve our Youth?

“Modern man listens more willingly to witnesses than to teachers, and if he does listen to teachers, it is because they are witnesses.” Pope Paul VI, Evangelii Nuntiandi, no. 41

Teenagers are seekers on a journey- they are looking for community, consistency, honesty, personal connection, and a place of their own. This is what our Youth Ministry program is all about- and it takes many faith-filled, fun-loving, patient and persistent adults to provide that space here at Prince of Peace. If we hope that our youth will anchor themselves to the Catholic faith during the storms of life, it is our job to guide their anchor until it finds a place to hold fast to the truth- the truth that God loves them, that the Church is here for them, and that there is always a place for them at the table of the Lord. Our Youth Ministry programs cannot happen without your help.
