Small Groups

Bilingual

Small Groups consist of individuals who regularly come together to share their lives in a communal setting. These gatherings offer the opportunity for joint prayer, in-depth exploration of scriptures and various faith-related subjects, and mutual assistance in nurturing and strengthening their spiritual beliefs.

Our inherent need for connection underscores the value of community. It’s in this communal environment that we truly thrive as a united Christian family. While the shared experience of Mass binds us as a larger congregation, the intimate support and shared journey within a small group propel us towards collective growth in our relationship with God.

5 Saturdays

Ages: 18+ (kids are welcome)

5 SATURDAYS is a devotion of reparation to the Immaculate Heart of the Blessed Virgin Mary. You can start any month! This devotion will be bilingual. We’ll distribute literature in English & Spanish. You don’t have to register to participate, you are welcome to pray with us any month 🙂

How to practice the Five First Saturday’s devotion?
Do the following on the first Saturday of the month for five consecutive months:

1.       Go to Confession (you can go on a Tuesday or Thursday at the end of the month or make an appointment with Lelis Knight)

The sacramental confession can be received within eight days either before or after the reception of Communion, provided the communicant is in a state of grace for Communion. If you fail, you need to start all over again.

2. Receive Holy Communion (during the 9am mass)

3. Pray five decades of the Rosary (we will recite the Joyful mysteries and will use Room #1)

4. Meditate on the mysteries of the Rosary for 15 minutes (Each month we’ll meditate on one of the Joyful mysteries)

Danza Acitlalmichitli

Ages: 18+ (kids are welcome)

Acitlalmichitli, a Nahuatl name that translates to “Star of the Sea”, is the title given in honor of our heavenly mother The Virgin Mary by the Holy Souls in Purgatory (according to the vision St. Faustina Kowalska describes in her diary), and to whom we look towards for guidance and protection through the invocation of Our Lady of Carmel.

The mission of this small group is to offer prayers and dances in honor of Our Lady of Carmel to intercede on behalf of the Holy Souls in purgatory. We worship, praise and offer thanksgiving to God for the blessings we have received through our dances which serve as representations of His creation.
