Prayer and Life Workshop (English Series)
Begins January 23, 2024 | Tuesdays | 10am-Noon | English Do you desire to deepen your relationship with the Lord? If so, you are invited to join us on Tuesdays for the Prayer & Life Workshops. During this 15 week workshop participants will learn a practical method of prayer, learning to pray by praying. Through the practice of faith and surrender and as a result of praying, participants begin to heal the wounds of the heart and experience greater serenity. By contemplating the image of Jesus and imitating his characteristics, participants slowly begin to be transformed into a person more like Jesus. Family Retreat
Is God calling you to slow down? As parents, the busyness of family life can make it hard to connect to God and to each other. Join us for a family weekend away at Camp Hidden Lake in Dahlonega, GA for a Prince of Peace Family Retreat. What better gift to get for your family than time away together? The retreat includes lodging and meals for families, activities for adults and children, and family Mass. Space is limited! Adults and Teens (13 years and up): $150/per person Elementary Children (4-12): $75/per child Younger Children (0-3): no charge *This event is currently offered in English only with Spanish materials available upon request. We hope to offer a Spanish/bilingual track at future retreats.
Divine Mercy Celebration
Save the date for our Divine Mercy Holy Hour on Saturday, April 6, following the 5pm Mass. Join us in honoring the Feast of Divine Mercy as we solemnly venerate the Divine Mercy image. The event will include insightful reflections on the feast, the recitation of the chaplet, and Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. Did you know that on Divine Mercy Sunday (April 7), “Extraordinary Graces” are available to the faithful? In her diary, St. Faustina records the promise that the Lord revealed to her: “I want to grant a complete pardon to the souls that will go to Confession and receive Holy Communion on the Feast of My mercy.” What does this mean for us? This “Extraordinary Grace” has the effect of Baptism! Complete forgiveness of sins AND punishment for sins! The ONLY requirement to receive this grace? Sacramental Confession, and worthy reception of the Eucharist on Divine Mercy Sunday In addition, plenary indulgence is ALSO available by fulfilling the usual conditions.
