Stephen Ministry Info Sessions

Thereā€™s a lot of work to do in Godā€™s kingdom. Caregiving is one of the most important jobs God calls us to doā€”to love others in his name. Our congregationā€™s Stephen Ministry is one way we accomplish Godā€™s caring work. Stephen Ministers work to provide care, encouragement, and emotional and spiritual support to people who are going through difficult times. If you have these gifts, please begin to prayerfully consider whether you might want to be part of this exciting ministry. If you are interested, please call (678) 960-0073 or email Stephen Ministry at stephenministry@pop.org for more information or to sign up to attend one of the Stephen Ministry information sessions at Prince of Peace on June 15 from 9:30 amā€“10:30 am in room 4 or on June 17 from 7 pmā€“8 pm in room 4. This is a great opportunity to learn more about Stephen Ministry as you prayerfully decide whether this is the right ministry for you. If you are interested in becoming a Stephen Minister and canā€™t attend the information session, please send us an email, and one of the Stephen Ministry Leaders will reach out to you.

The Lordā€™s Invitation to the Vineyard

One Night Event Presented by Seminarian Alex Trujillo June 19, 2024 (English) | 7pm June 21, 2024 (Spanish) | 7pm He asked them ā€˜Why have you been standing here all day long doing nothing?ā€™ ā€œBecause no one has hired us, they answered.ā€ ā€œHe said to them, " You also go and work in my vineyard.ā€™ - Matthew 20:6-7 I can say that my call to the seminary was a simple and direct invitation. In the same manner that Jesus called Matthew, Peter, and Andrew, I think about how Jesus calls people still today. Just like the workers in the vineyard, I was ā€œidle,ā€ unsaved, in need of purpose, and above all, desired to be wanted by a generous, loving God. And so God calls all of us to produce good fruit regardless of our chosen vocation.

The Name of God is Mercy

Join us as we delve into the depths of divine mercy, a gift that is ever-present and unfailing, regardless of our shortcomings and mistakes. Divine Providence: A Surrender to Hope

One Night Event Presented by Seminarian Jonathan Webster July 1, 2024 (English) | 7pm Divine providence, or simply the word providence, is something that is thrown around a lot and sometimes used as a Christian replacement for luck. For example, we often say something is providential when something good happens. Is that all providence is though? What is providence? What about when bad things happen, is that part of providence? Does providence require something of us? Join us as we explore these questions, discover the journey of creation, and the necessity of our own individual surrender to hope. All are invited!
