Our Lady of Guadalupe Novena

Join us for our celebrations in honor of Our Lady of Guadalupe this coming December 12th! The festivities will begin with a novena from December 3rd to December 11th, which will include a brief reflection, the rosary, and time to share bread and a warm drink. Our Novena schedule is as follows: - Tuesday, December 3: 7:30 PM–8:30 PM, after the 7:00 PM Mass, in the church. - Wednesday, December 4: 7:00 PM–8:30 PM, in the church. - Thursday, December 5: 7:30 PM–8:30 PM, after the 7:00 PM Mass, in the church. - Friday, December 6: 8:00 PM–9:00 PM, after Encuentro, in the church. - Saturday, December 7: 7:00 PM–8:30 PM, in the church. - Sunday, December 8: 7:00 PM–8:30 PM, in the church. - Monday, December 9: 7:00 PM–8:00 PM, before the Mass of the Immaculate Conception of Mary, in the Atrium. - Tuesday, December 10: 8:00 PM–9:30 PM, in the Youth Room.

- Tuesday, 7:00-9:00pm, starting August 20 Do you want to learn to achieve silence and peace, to free yourself from anguish and fear? Come, learn to live, and attend a Prayer and Life Workshop! You are invited to join us on Tuesday evenings or Wednesday mornings for a Prayer & Life Workshop. During the 15-week workshop, participants will learn a practical method of prayer, learning to pray by praying. Through the practice of faith and surrender and as a result of praying, participants begin to heal the wounds of the heart and experience greater serenity. With Mary the Maiden of Nazareth and Joseph Her Faithful Spouse  Directed by Sister Susan Arcaro, r.c. in English Choose your date and time!  Wednesday, December 4, 9am - 12pm Thursday, December 5, 6:30pm - 8:30pm “An Advent Sabbath” offers you a few hours to be still, catch your breath, and ponder the magnanimity of God’s love in giving us Jesus, Emmanuel. It is a perfect way to get caught up in the peacefulness of Advent and the real meaning of Christmas! This is an opportunity for you to pause in the midst of preparations for Christmas, to pray and reflect on Mary’s response to the Spirit of God dwelling within her, on Joseph’s devotion to the woman he loves, and on the mystery of Jesus’ incarnation among us today. Event Series Nocturnal Adoration

Nocturnal Adoration

The Blessed Sacrament is exposed all night after the 5pm Saturday Mass and is reposed before the 7:30am Sunday Mass. Prayers are led in Spanish by the Nocturnal Adoration group, but everyone is welcome to join at any time throughout the night. Nocturnal adoration is a Catholic devotional practice where parishioners gather for prayer and worship before the Blessed Sacrament during nighttime hours. Learn more by clicking here.

Advent Penance Service 2024

We will have several priests visiting our parish to ensure everyone has the opportunity to receive God's mercy and forgiveness by participating in our Parish penance service on Tuesday, December 10 at 7pm. Childcare will be provided. POP Hockey Night!

Get Ready for a Fun Night! Mark your calendars for Friday, December 13 at 7pm at Gas South Arena. Prince of Peace and The Knights of Columbus invite you to the Atlanta Gladiators’ annual Teddy Bear Toss Game. Bring a teddy bear to throw onto the ice after the Glads score their first goal! A portion from every ticket sold along with 25% of the proceeds from Chuck-A-Puck will go back to the Parish to support the "Send-a-Kid-to-Camp" scholarship! Teddy bears collected will be donated to children in need by the Knights through their participating charities.

Ladies’ Advent by Candlelight

Join the Columbiettes Advent by Candlelight Charity Fundraiser for women on Saturday, December 14, starting at 5:30pm. This event will be conducted in English only. Guest speaker, Jennifer Thomas, will address the strength of Mary, the mother of our Lord, and her saying yes. “Embracing Your Fiat!” will focus on Mary’s response of “Let it be done” when asked by the angel Gabriel to become the mother of Jesus and how we too can embrace our own Fiat. The evening includes a dinner buffet catered by Little Vinny’s. Charity fundraising activities will include a 50/50 raffle and a gift basket auction. Admission tickets are $25 each and will be on sale through December 4, 2024. Proceeds from the Ladies’ Advent by Candlelight will support the Columbiettes Charity Fund, benefiting Prince of Peace ministries and our community. Questions? All are welcome to come for as little or as long as you can, but we ask, if you are able to make the commitment, to please sign up at the link below so we know that at least one family will be present to be a guardian for the Blessed Sacrament at all times.
