Come and See: The Divine Invitation

One Night Event Presented by Seminarian Jonathan Webster June 12, 2024 (in English) | 7pm “‘Rabbi’ (which means teacher) ‘where are you staying?’ He said to them, ‘Come and see.’” - John 1:38b-39a No matter what our vocation is, it is always an invitation from the Lord. He does not force; he gently invites. My vocation story, like many of our stories, began with an invitation. It was not only one invitation, though. It was a series of invitations and gentle guidance that led the son of a Messianic Jew and an Evangelical Protestant to discern the Catholic priesthood.

The Lord’s Invitation to the Vineyard

One Night Event Presented by Seminarian Alex Trujillo June 19, 2024 (English) | 7pm June 21, 2024 (Spanish) | 7pm He asked them ‘Why have you been standing here all day long doing nothing?’ “Because no one has hired us, they answered.” “He said to them, " You also go and work in my vineyard.’ - Matthew 20:6-7 I can say that my call to the seminary was a simple and direct invitation. In the same manner that Jesus called Matthew, Peter, and Andrew, I think about how Jesus calls people still today. Just like the workers in the vineyard, I was “idle,” unsaved, in need of purpose, and above all, desired to be wanted by a generous, loving God. And so God calls all of us to produce good fruit regardless of our chosen vocation.

The Name of God is Mercy

One Night Event Presented by Seminarian Alex Trujillo June 29, 2024 (English) | 6:30pm You are warmly invited to a special reflection talk on the boundless mercy of God. Join us as we delve into the depths of divine mercy, a gift that is ever-present and unfailing, regardless of our shortcomings and mistakes. We will also talk about St. Faustina and her message of divine mercy. God's mercy is infinite and unwavering. It is we who often grow weary of seeking it. Let us come together to reflect on this profound truth and re-ignite our hope and trust in God's enduring love and forgiveness. All are invited!
