Genuine Brotherhood: The Past and Future of Catholic-Jewish Relations

2-Part Study | February 19 & 20 7pm - 9pm | English At the Second Vatican Council, the Catholic Church proclaimed in a landmark document called Nostra Aetate (In Our Time) that the covenant God made with the Jewish people had never been broken. The post-Nostra Aetate Catholic recognition of the permanence of the Jewish people’s covenant relationship with God has led to a new positive regard for the post-biblical or rabbinic Jewish tradition that is unprecedented in Christian history. Inspired by the Nostra Aetate declaration and the countless efforts made by Jewish and Catholic leaders over the past decades, this study, Genuine Brotherhood: The Past and Future of Catholic-Jewish Relations, has been developed and will be presented live by Brendan Murphy, history teacher from the Marist School of Atlanta. All, especially those from Catholic and Jewish faith traditions, are invited to this amazing 2-part study on February 19 and 20. Childcare provided.
