One Night Event Presented by Seminarian Solomon Azenda June 30, 2025 (in English) | 7pm God’s call often comes not as a shout, but as a whisper—a gentle invitation that waits patiently beneath the noise of our lives. For Seminarian Solomon Azenda, hearing that call was not immediate, but it was deeply transformative. “The idea of priesthood sounded foreign, almost unpleasant, like a garment tailored for someone else. My heart was crowded with noise, ambition, plans, distractions. There was no space for another voice, especially one as gentle as God’s. His Grace is always persistent. God does not shout over our resistance; He waits, like the dew that settles slowly on the ground. My journey was never marked by an initial stillness but by a slow stripping away of noise. Through unexpected moments, quiet conversations, an examination I almost didn’t write, the silent witness of a priest’s life, I began to hear something deeper. Not a command, but a whisper. Not pressure, but peace. At this point I realized that God does not stop calling because we are sluggish to answer. He speaks even when we turn away. And when we return, whether early like Samuel in the Bible or […]

In our busy lives, it's easy to lose sight of the One who gives us true peace and purpose. That’s why we set aside time for Encounter, a day dedicated to prayer, adoration, and personal connection with Jesus Christ in the Eucharist. Eucharistic Adoration is a powerful way to spend quiet time with the Lord, to rest in His presence, and to allow Him to speak to our hearts. Whether you can come for a few minutes or stay for an hour, your time before the Blessed Sacrament is an offering of love and trust. This Friday, we invite you to make space in your day to be with Jesus. Come whenever your schedule allows: 9am: Our day of prayer begins with Mass in English. 9:30am-7pm: After Mass, Father will expose the Blessed Sacrament on the main altar of the Church for silent prayer. Adoration will continue in the Church until 7pm. Everyone is welcome—parishioners, friends, visitors, ministries, and small groups are all encouraged to come, spend time with Jesus, and adore Him in the Blessed Sacrament. 7pm: We will begin a special period of praise & worship, prayer & reflection, culminating with Benediction. |
