Starts January 23, 2024 | 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM | Spanish Do you desire to deepen your relationship with the Lord? If so, you are invited to join us on Tuesdays for the Prayer & Life Workshops. During this 15 week workshop participants will learn a practical method of prayer, learning to pray by praying. Through the practice of faith and surrender and as a result of praying, participants begin to heal the wounds of the heart and experience greater serenity. By contemplating the image of Jesus and imitating his characteristics, participants slowly begin to be transformed into a person more like Jesus. One Night Event Presented by Seminarian Jonathan Webster June 12, 2024 (in English) | 7pm “‘Rabbi’ (which means teacher) ‘where are you staying?’ He said to them, ‘Come and see.’” - John 1:38b-39a No matter what our vocation is, it is always an invitation from the Lord. He does not force; he gently invites. My vocation story, like many of our stories, began with an invitation. It was not only one invitation, though. It was a series of invitations and gentle guidance that led the son of a Messianic Jew and an Evangelical Protestant to discern the Catholic priesthood.

One Night Event Presented by Seminarian Alex Trujillo June 19, 2024 (English) | 7pm June 21, 2024 (Spanish) | 7pm He asked them ‘Why have you been standing here all day long doing nothing?’ “Because no one has hired us, they answered.” “He said to them, " You also go and work in my vineyard.’ - Matthew 20:6-7 I can say that my call to the seminary was a simple and direct invitation. In the same manner that Jesus called Matthew, Peter, and Andrew, I think about how Jesus calls people still today. Just like the workers in the vineyard, I was “idle,” unsaved, in need of purpose, and above all, desired to be wanted by a generous, loving God. And so God calls all of us to produce good fruit regardless of our chosen vocation.

We will also talk about St. Faustina and her message of divine mercy. God's mercy is infinite and unwavering. It is we who often grow weary of seeking it. Let us come together to reflect on this profound truth and re-ignite our hope and trust in God's enduring love and forgiveness. All are invited!

For example, we often say something is providential when something good happens. Is that all providence is though? What is providence? What about when bad things happen, is that part of providence? Does providence require something of us? Join us as we explore these questions, discover the journey of creation, and the necessity of our own individual surrender to hope. All are invited!
