Due to the ongoing winter storm and hazardous road conditions in Hall County, Prince of Peace Catholic Church will be closed tomorrow, Wednesday, January 22. For the safety of all parishioners, all campus activities will be suspended during this closure. We currently plan to reopen on Thursday, January 23, pending an improvement in weather and road conditions. Please check your email for updates before coming to the church, and most importantly, stay safe.
This Alpha Course will meet weekly on Tuesdays from 7p-8:30p Join a series of group conversations that freely explore the Christian faith in an open, friendly environment. At each Alpha session, you will share a meal, watch an episode on a different question of faith - and then have a chance to share your thoughts and hear what others think. You can say anything you like or nothing at all. Everyone is welcome, no matter your background or beliefs. It’s FREE, and there is no pressure to come back. Meal and childcare will be provided. Volunteer Opportunity: We need volunteers to make each Alpha session happen. If you have never volunteered before, we will train you. Training will be conducted 01/14/2025 at 6:30pm. Do you want to learn to achieve silence and peace? To free you from anguish and fear? Come, learn to live, attend a Prayer and Life Workshop! During the 15 week workshop participants will learn a practical method of prayer, learning to pray by praying. Through the practice of faith and surrender and as a result of praying, participants begin to heal the wounds of the heart and experience greater serenity. By contemplating the image of Jesus and imitating his characteristics, participants slowly begin to be transformed into a person more like Jesus.
