Prince of Peace
50th Anniversary

It was Christmas Eve 1975 that Prince of Peace Catholic Church celebrated the first Mass on the original home in Buford Georgia.  This Christmas will mark the 50th anniversary of that very special first Mass.  To celebrate this most important occasion we are planning several events this fall to help us take a look back at all of the special moments and events that have made Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Flowery Branch Georgia what it is today.  We hope that you can join us on this journey.

Join us on Saturday, December 20, for a special Vigil Mass celebrating the 50th Anniversary of Prince of Peace, with Archbishop Hartmayer presiding. A reception will follow.

Our Parish Through the Decades

“I have watched our parish grow from about 100 families to over 3000 families. The same “POP Family” feeling has been the same throughout. In the early days, worked side by side at many different venues to raise money to pay for our church. Now we work side by side giving back to our community. As we move forward, I know that POP will still be a welcoming parish that is dedicated to supporting one another through love and service.”
