Safe Environment Children’s Training

The Archdiocese of Atlanta requires all parishes and schools to participate in the VIRTUS program Teaching Safety – Empowering God’s Children Safe Environment children’s training. Children are taught that God is a loving, listening, and caring presence in their daily lives and that they should feel secure and safe in sharing information about problems or people that worry them with a trusted adult. This program is part of our ongoing effort to help create and maintain a safe environment for children and to protect all children from sexual abuse.

If your school-age child (Kindergarten – 12th grade) is enrolled in faith formation at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, the VIRTUS program Teaching Safety – Empowering God’s Children will be presented during program sessions on Sunday, October 4, Tuesday, October 6, and Wednesday, October 7, 2026.
