Alcoholics Anonymous (AA)

The purpose of AA is to provide help to people with alcohol abuse problems. Anyone recovering from the abuse of alcohol and is able to help another journey the road to recovery is welcome to serve in this ministry. If someone has an alcohol problem, he/she is invited to contact the ministry. Solutions to drug abuse and other help are available 24-hours a day, 7- days a week.

Amigos for Christ

This local non-profit organization began at Prince of Peace Catholic Church in July of 1999. Its mission is to support poor families by providing food, homebuilding, education, small business opportunities, medical services, and clean water projects to enable small communities to become self-sufficient. Work is primarily in the northwest area of Nicaragua called Chinandega with many mission trips per year. Interested individuals are invited to go to a mission trip to Nicaragua or to donate goods to the medical mission.

Boy Scout Troop No. 534

Boy Scouts work toward three aims: growth in moral strength and character, participation in citizenship in terms of a boy’s relationship with others, and the development of physical, mental and emotional fitness. Boys from age 11 to 18 years-old are welcome.

Girl Scout Troop No. 13524

Our Girl Scout Troop provides a safe place for girls to grow in faith, share new experiences, learn to relate to others, develop values, and become contributing members of reserved for girls from Kindergarten through 8th grade. We meet every other Monday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Optional outings take place throughout the year. New girls interested in joining our Troop are always welcome.
